Our Website Project Managers oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of website projects. From the project handoff to launch of the website, the Project Manager's primary role is to ensure a smooth experience for both the client and our internal team members assigned to the project.

 

This role coordinates work assignment and deadlines, and provides quality control for the design and development teams to ensure website projects meet client requirements and are completed within the target timeframe. Balancing acceptable trade-offs between scope, time, and budget become second nature, and keeping the client updated and engaged along the way makes this role the linchpin in our production process.

 

This person must be detail-oriented and have the organizational skills to keep both themselves and our production team on task at all times. Strong communication skills are required as our project management team works directly with Cybernautic customers and significantly contributes to their overall experience with the company.

 

Familiarity with technology and digital solutions, as well as previous experience either working in a website content management system or building a website from scratch would serve this person well in getting started in this role.

 

The Qualifications We Are Looking For:

 

  • At least 2 years of Project Management or related experience

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Detail-oriented and naturally organized

  • Resourceful and proactive approach to work

  • Kind and collaborative spirit that can work both individually and in team settings

  • A “make it happen” approach to work

  • Live in or near Bloomington, IL or have a willingness to relocate (this is not a remote position)

  • Desire to find a long-term employment solution and commitment to at least 3 years on the team

 

You'll stand out if you have:

  • Project Management certification(s)

  • Experience using Asana (Project Management Software)

  • Previous experience managing people

  • Previous experience building a website or using a website CMS (content management system)

  • Transferrable or related experience in graphic or visual design

  • An understanding of Domain Management and DNS

  • An understanding of SEO (Search Engine Optimization) and other web marketing strategies (paid advertising, social media marketing, etc.)

 

Website Project Manager Job Duties:

 

  • Successfully manage multiple project timelines, budgets, and resources.

  • Function with autonomy but consistently and constructively collaborate with teammates.
  • Provide effective and timely communication with stakeholders — in addition to regular project updates, this includes leading meetings, ensuring all required project assets are gathered in a timely manner, providing the client with website Editor training, etc.

  • On an as needed basis to keep a project moving in the production queue, you may be required to perform tasks such as: Load content, adjust client assets, research a platform or third-party tool specific to a client, choose project-relevant stock photography, learn something new, etc. You are expected to be resourceful in this role.
  • Determine the tasks, roles, and responsibilities required for the project and coordinate with other PM staff to assemble individuals with appropriate knowledge, skills, and experience.
  • Encourage and assist project teams to actively participate by establishing open and positive relationships; by appealing to their needs, values, and goals; and by involving, entrusting, recognizing, and supporting team members.
  • Address and resolve minor project-related performance issues; escalate major performance issues to supervisor
